Canvas is pleased to announce Brandi Swerdzewski has been promoted to Director and now serves as a part of Canvas’ growing Leadership Team.
Brandi has over 15 years of experience with the Government as both a contractor and civilian employee supporting Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Defense in the areas of human resource management, government contracting, and acquisition.
In 2005, Brandi launched her defense contracting career supporting the Transportation Security Administrations with recruitment and hiring efforts post 9/11. She later joined Missile Defense Agency (MDA) in 2011 as an acquisition contractor supporting acquisition and contracts within both the Advanced Technology Directorate (DV) and the Program Management and Integration Team in the Precision Tracking Space System Directorate.
In 2012, she began her federal civilian contract specialist career supporting MDA DV. As a civilian, Brandi transferred to the MDA Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) Project Office where she gained valuable contracting experience including Advanced Capabilities support and United Arab Emirates (UAE) foreign military sales. In 2018, she continued her civilian career in contracts with the Army Contracting Command (ACC) Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO MS) Program Directorate Counter-Rocket Artillery and Mortar Project Office (C-RAM). Brandi re-entered defense contracting in 2019 and joined Canvas to provide acquisition support the MDA Directorate for Test (DT).
Brandi has proven to be a leader within the Canvas family, both in her DT position as well as serving as the chair of the Canvas Community Outreach Initiatives. In her new role as Director, Brandi will lead a team of exceptional contracting and acquisition professionals. Brandi will also continue to support MDA with her extensive federal contracting and acquisition experience.
