Canvas COO Gerald Burnett recently participated in the Arnold Community Council’s “DC Fly-In,” contributing to ongoing advocacy efforts that strengthen the nation’s test and evaluation (T&E) mission.
As an active member of the Council, Gerald traveled to Washington, D.C. with fellow members to represent the Tullahoma community and reinforce the strategic importance of Arnold Air Force Base (AFB) and the Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC).
The delegation met with senior Air Force leaders at the Pentagon, including Gen. David Allvin, Lt. Gen. Dale White, Maj. Gen. Benjamin Maitre, and others. Discussions addressed topics such as recruiting and retention, test technology development, and the importance of modernizing infrastructure to accelerate delivery of fielded systems.
The Council also met with Tennessee Senators Marsha Blackburn and Bill Hagerty, Representatives Scott DesJarlais and John Rose, and several other members of Congress whose districts include AEDC geographically separated units or test customers. These conversations helped reinforce the value of AEDC’s mission to national defense and innovation.
Canvas contributes to the Technical Management and Advisory Services II (TMAS II) task order with teams located near Arnold AFB (TN), Hill AFB (UT), Holloman AFB (NM), Eglin AFB (FL), Wright-Patterson AFB (OH), and Moffett Field (CA). The ongoing efforts of the Arnold Community Council, and the leadership of individuals like Gerald, reflect shared priorities that align with Canvas’ commitment to these communities and to advancing test and evaluation capabilities across the Air Force.
