Canvas Welcomes Tom Williams As Director Of NASA Programs

Canvas is proud to welcome Tom Williams, retired SES and NASA subject matter expert, to the Canvas Family as our new Director of NASA Programs.

Mr. Williams brings a vast amount of development, manufacturing and operational experience associated with the NASA, DOD and commercial launch systems to Canvas. Mr. Williams has held various positions within a multitude of government and private organizations. Most notably, Mr. Williams was the Director of the Propulsion Systems Department, at George C. Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC). In this position, Mr. Williams directed the department of over 350 employees responsible for providing integrated, quality propulsion products and engineering services to NASA, other government agencies, and the commercial propulsion development community. His department designed and developed a wide variety of chemical (solids and liquids), advanced chemical, nuclear thermal and electric propulsion systems.

As Director of NASA Programs at Canvas, Mr. Williams will help develop future technology efforts by using his expertise to mentor and coach Canvas employees. “I feel honored to be able to offer my experience as a subject matter consultant to NASA, where I currently support the SLS team, to continue our nation’s space exploration capabilities.”
